Polymer adhesion is the phenomenon of forming bonds between polymer material and other solids that come into contact. It occurs as molecules of the polymer and functional groups of the polymer's chain interact with the mating body, forming a strong bond due to surface forces of attraction and repulsion between the atoms and molecules of the two surfaces.
